Ted Kemp, a former CNBC staffer in the U.S. and Singapore, has become chief editorial officer of BusiNext, a Middle East business news service based in Dubai launching later this year.
Kemp spent the previous six years as managing editor of digital for CNBC in Singapore, overseeing reporters in Singapore, London, Beijing, Guangzhou and Dubai.
Before that, he was senior editor for markets and international news, based in CNBC’s Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, headquarters. He was also London bureau chief and a news editor in the CNBC.com launch team in 2006.
Kemp holds a bachelor’s degree from N.C. State University and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois.
