Former Business Insider reporter Joyner joins LPC

April Joyner

April Joyner has joined LPC and IFR to cover middle market private credit.

Both are part of the London Stock Exchange Group. Joyner had previously been at Business Insider covering venture capital and startups.

She had also been a markets correspondent at Reuters, where she focused on U.S. stocks. She also wrote on occasion about the homebuilding and retail industries.

Previously, she was a senior reporter at Inc. magazine, and she has also contributed to Technical.ly Brooklyn, Fast Company, Marie Claire, The New Yorker, OZY, and The Week.

Joyner is a Yale University graduate.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
