Florida Trend, a business magazine, has hired Vickie Chachere as its executive editor.
She spent the last 13 years at the University of South Florida in public relations and strategic communications.
Chachere previously was an editorial writer and a senior reporter at The Tampa Tribune.
She also worked for five years for the Associated Press overseeing news operations in west central Florida. Chachere was recognized as a 2001 Pulitzer Prize Finalist for Public Service as a member of the Associated Press team whose comprehensive coverage of the 2000 presidential election recount provided global communications through an unprecedented crisis.
