Euractiv, an independent pan-European media network specialized in EU affairs, has hired two from Politico.
Joshua Posaner, a veteran reporter who has led Politico Europe’s coverage of defense, space and transport, is appointed managing editor.
Eddy Wax, co-author of Politico Europe’s Playbook newsletter, becomes newsletter editor.
Both will take up their positions in April.
“Josh is a seasoned policy reporter and newsroom leader with an impressive record for breaking news. He is uniquely suited to both help manage our talented team and map out our expansion,” said Matthew Karnitschnig, editor-in-chief, in a statement. “Eddy is one of the most innovative voices on EU politics in Brussels. His political nous, strong sense for a good story, and energy will galvanize Euractiv’s newsroom.”
Posaner, 40, joins Euractiv from Politico Europe, where he has worked in a variety of senior reporting roles since 2016. Wax, 30, also comes to Euractiv from Politico Europe, where he has been a lead writer of the Brussels Playbook newsletter.
