Engadget senior editor Dixit departs for new opportunity

Tech news site Engadget senior editor Pranav Dixit is leaving for a new opportunity.

He has been with the site for a year.

Dixit previously was a technology reporter covering the intersection of technology and culture for BuzzFeed News.

He has been a Nieman fellow at Harvard University. He was also executive editor of FactorDaily, a media startup in India. He was a technology editor at the Hindustan Times and an evening editor at Gizmodo. He was an editorial fellow at Wired and has covered breaking technology, business, and design and innovation stories for Fast Company.

He was also an intern at The New York Times. Dixit graduated from New York University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
