Energy reporter fellows selected by Columbia

The Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy has selected journalists to attend its annual energy journalism fellows program next month.

The program offers journalists the opportunity to learn about the intersecting disciplines shaping the global energy sector, including finance and markets, climate change, science and technology, policy, and geopolitics.

They are:

Mohammad Almadhoun, a TV correspondent based in London, covering politics, current affairs, and conflicts in Europe for Al Jazeera.

Jack Boardthe climate change correspondent for Channel News Asia, reporting on stories from Southeast Asia and beyond.

Marjorie Cessacan independent journalist, working with Le Monde, to cover energy and environmental policies, with a focus on climate change and biodiversity.

Gloria Dickiea global climate and environment correspondent for Reuters, reporting on climate change impacts and international diplomacy.

Luz Ding, a reporter for Bloomberg News, covering energy transition and climate change in China.

James Dinneen, is a science and environmental journalist, reporting for New Scientist and other outlets on climate, energy, biodiversity, and more.

Elizabeth Elkin, the deputy energy team leader and natural gas reporter for Bloomberg News, covering energy markets and policy.

Abagael Giles, the climate and environment reporter for Vermont Public, covering stories on the energy transition, climate justice, and rural communities.

Oliver Griffin, a reporter for Reuters, covering energy and the environment in South America, with a focus on Colombia’s energy transition and environmental activism.

David Jordan, the energy and environment reporter for CQ Roll Call, covering congressional and agency actions on energy and environmental policy.

Alexander Kaufman, a senior reporter at Huffington Post, covering energy and climate change, with a focus on nuclear energy, building codes, and clean-energy supply chains.

Anna Kramer, a climate, environment, and technology journalist, writing for various outlets on energy, agriculture, and food systems.

Christina Lu, a reporter at Foreign Policy, covering foreign policy and international affairs, with a focus on climate and energy.

Adam Mahoney, is the national climate and environment reporter at Capital B News, covering stories on environmental justice, climate change, and the Black experience.

Joan Meiners, the climate news and storytelling reporter at the Arizona Republic, covering climate accountability, environmental investigations, and news analyses.

Carlos Mureithi, Africa climate and environment correspondent at the Associated Press, reporting on climate change, energy, and environmental issues across Africa.

Francisco Parra, the director of the Climate Tracker Latin America Foundation, an NGO dedicated to promoting climate journalism and supporting reporters in Latin America.

Kate Petersen, the first climate change focused fact check reporter at USA Today, working to correct misinformation and promote accurate reporting on climate change.

Martha Pskowski, a reporter for Inside Climate News, covering energy and the environment in Texas, with a focus on the oil and gas industries, air and water pollution, and climate change.

Jeffrey Redfern, a reporter for Capital & Main, covering energy and the environment in New Mexico, with a focus on the oil and gas industries, climate change, and environmental activism.
