Jeff Elder has joined Morning Brew as editor of Incrypto, Morning Brew’s cryptocurrency newsletter.
Recently, Elder was a senior tech reporter and columnist at the San Francisco Examiner.
Before that, he covered cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in Silicon Valley for Business Insider. Previously, he served as a senior managing editor at Avast and as an editor at Salesforce. He worked as a senior writer and as a digital communications manager at McAfee and Wikimedia Foundation, respectively.
From 2013 to 2015, he was a reporter with The Wall Street Journal and was a columnist at The Charlotte Observer. He was a copy editor at both The Press Democrat and The Plain Dealer.
Elder has a bachelor’s degree in journalism, humanities from San Jose State University. He also has a Knight fellowship from Stanford University.
