John Edwards III, the managing editor for weekends Americas at Bloomberg News, has left the news organization.
Here is his farewell email to colleagues:
Colleagues,
Yesterday was my last day at Bloomberg, after more than seven years in Geneva, Boston and New York.
Any successes I had were largely thanks to the talent and dedication of the teams I worked on or led: Europe Consumer/Health, US Entertainment/Media/Telecom, the Global Business editing pool, US Consumer and Weekends Americas. Particular gratitude goes to my managers over that time: Eric Pfanner, Nick Turner, Crayton Harrison, Cathy Larkin, Shelly Banjo and Alan Goldstein.
Any failures were mine alone, and I apologize wholeheartedly for them.
I’ll miss being part of this extraordinary global news operation, with its enduring hallmarks of accuracy, fairness, clarity and speed. I’ll remain a fan — and an online subscriber.
