Wall Street Journal reporter David Harrison was among the layoffs in the Washington bureau.
He had been at the paper since May 2015 and covered the Federal Reserve and the economy.
Harrison previously was a contributor to The Economist and a staff writer for Congressional Quarterly. He also worked as a reporter for the Roanoke Times in Virginia.
Harrison is a graduate of Carleton College and holds a master’s degree from George Washington University.
