Energy reporter Earl to depart City AM for Politico

Nicholas Earl

Nicholas Earl is set to join Politico Europe on its climate and energy team.

Currently, he is an energy editor at City AM covering energy, industrials and the environment. He also has a weekly column and podcast.

Earl joined City AM in October 2021 as a reporter. Before this, he covered asset management and investing for PAM Insight Ltd. Previously, from July 2018 to October 2018, he worked as a features writer at City AM on a contractual basis.

He freelanced for the Daily Mail, was an online writer at the Sun, and worked as a journalist at Prospect Magazine and the Evening Standard. He interned at Press Association and was an editorial assistant at The Week UK.

Earl has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Warwick and a master’s degree in magazine journalism from City, University of London.
