Almar Latour, CEO of Dow Jones and publisher of The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following:

Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan Hipsher as chief financial officer for Dow Jones.

Bryan brings 20 years of international leadership experience across finance, strategy and general management, with a strong track record of driving performance and helping to shape global brands in both public and private companies. Most recently, he served as CFO of Dun & Bradstreet for seven years, where he led key finance transformation initiatives that drove profitable growth and unlocked value across the organization. Prior to Dun & Bradstreet, Bryan served as senior vice president of Finance at Black Knight, now part of Intercontinental Exchange, where he helped drive sustainable revenue and earnings growth leading up to the company’s successful IPO in 2015. He began his career with Fidelity National Financial and Fidelity Information Services.

Bryan has consistently led large-scale digital transformations and guided complex, data-driven organizations and his appointment comes at an exciting time for Dow Jones. As we continue to strengthen our position as the world’s leading business news and information services company and advance toward our $1 billion EBITDA goal, exceptional financial leadership is essential. I am confident his leadership and expertise will help us execute our strategy and create long-term value for our clients, partners and stakeholders.

Bryan will join the Dow Jones executive leadership team and report to me. His first day will be September 8.

I’m grateful to Interim CFO Brian Carlesimo for his outstanding leadership of our Finance organization over the past two quarters. His stewardship has positioned us well for this next chapter, and his expertise and leadership will remain essential to achieving our ambitious goals.

Please join me in welcoming Bryan to Dow Jones.

Almar
