Dow Jones passes Reuters, Forbes in website viewers

Dow Jones & Co., the parent of The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch.com and Barron’s, became the No. 3 business news website in April, passing Reuters and Forbes, according to Comscore data.

Dow Jones had 55.4 million unique visitors in April, up 3 percent from 53.8 million.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported a 3 percent decline to 54.4 million unique visitors and Forbes reported a 17 percent drop to 47.3 million unique visitors.

Yahoo Finance remained No. 1 with 104.7 million unique visitors for the month, a 3 percent drop. No. 2 CNBC had a 10 percent increase to 72.5 million unique visitors.

Meanwhile both Bloomberg and TheStreet passed Fox Business in unique visitors during the month.

Bloomberg is now No. 7 with 31.7 million unique visitors, up 23 percent while TheStreet had 27.5 million visitors, up 20 percent.

Fox Business fell to No. 9 in April with 23.7 million unique visitors, down 11 percent, according to Comscore.
