Dow Jones NewsPlus hires Kalinoski as platform editor

Glenn Kalinoski has joined Dow Jones NewsPlus as a platform editor in New York.

He was the managing editor of DM News, a weekly newspaper covering direct, database and interactive marketing. Kalinoski also spent more than three years at Thomson Financial Media’s Mortgage Products Group, where he was the managing editor of Broker magazine and a contributor to National Mortgage News.

He also spent more than a decade at Gannett Suburban Newspapers covering professional and collegiate sports throughout the New York metropolitan area. He also was managing editor of the Westfair Business Journal.

Kalinoski also worked as an editor at Bloomberg News.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
