Deputy ME van der Walt departing Bloomberg

Bloomberg News deputy managing editor Eddie van der Walt is leaving the news organization after nine years.

He has been on the Markets Live team covering global financial markets with a focus on commodities in London.

Before Bloomberg, van der Walt was a markets reporter for ICIS Heren, covering natural gas. He also worked at FastMarkets Ltd. as an editor on the bullion desk.

van der Walt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Free State in South Africa.
