Denver Post biz reporter Boyanton taking on neighborhoods beat

Megan Boyanton

Denver Post business reporter Megan Boyanton is switching beats and will now cover Denver neighborhoods.

She has been covering the state’s marijuana industry and social inequalities in business.

Boyanton previously reported on the agriculture and trade policy beat for Bloomberg Government on Capitol Hill. She served as vice chair of the Guild at Bloomberg Industry Group and co-chair of OPEN, the company’s LGBT+ organization. She is a member of the Overseas Press Club and North American Agricultural Journalists.

Boyanton is a Beltz Award for Editorial Excellence winner and White House Correspondents’ Association scholar.

She graduated from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with her master’s degree in mass communication.

He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
