He has been at the publication for the past year covering banks with a focus on how new tech is changing Wall Street.
He has been at Forbes for the past five years covering cryptocurrencies. Del Castillo joined Forbes from CoinDesk, where he covered cryptocurrency and blockchain applications since March 2016.
Before that, del Castillo was a founding reporter at Upstart Business Journal, where his technology stories were nationally syndicated in the New York Business Journal, Silicon Valley Business Journal, and other national markets.
He focused on New York City-based technology startups specializing in robots, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology.
De Castillo holds a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University.
