Richard Deitsch is joining the Sports Business Journal as a special contributor.
He will write a monthly feature and contribute daily news stories.
“The first feature piece for SBJ will highlight one of the most respected and respected on-air people in sports working today,” he wrote on social media.
Deitsch was a media reporter for The Athletic. He previously worked for 20 years for Sports Illustrated, where he covered seven Olympic Games, multiple NCAA championships and U.S. Open tennis. He also hosts a weekly sports media podcast.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
