Dayton Biz Journal’s Bush moving to Columbus Business First

John Bush

John Bush, a senior reporter at the Dayton Business Journal, is moving to its sister paper Columbus Business First.

He will start in about two weeks and cover real estate.

Bush has been with the Dayton paper since September 2017 and has been a senior staff reporter since October 2019.

He previously worked at the Lima News and Wapakoneta Daily News in Ohio.

Bush holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
