Davis to cover health care for Crain’s Chicago

Katherine Davis

Katherine Davis, a general assignment and tech startup reporter at Crain’s Chicago Business, is shifting beats and will now cover health care.

A story on its website states, “Davis, 27, has experience covering the health care industry, having reported for Cardiovascular Business prior to Chicago Inno and having done two internships at Crain’s sister publication Modern Healthcare while she was a student at Columbia College Chicago.

“Prior to Chicago Inno, Davis had worked in Crain’s newsroom, serving as a research intern while she was still a student at Columbia, where she graduated in 2015. Crain’s hired her again for a six-month reporting fellowship in 2016.

“Davis will now be responsible for covering Chicago-area hospitals, physicians groups, pharmaceutical companies, medical products manufacturers, biotech startups and health insurers. She will work closely with Crain’s contributor Jon Asplund, the primary reporter for Health Pulse, Crain’s newsletter delivering exclusive, actionable intel on the local health care sector.”
