TBPN, a daily, live tech video podcast, has hired a president to increase its revenue, reports Katie Deighton of The Wall Street Journal.
Deighton writes, “Hosts and founders John Coogan and Jordi Hays said Dylan Abruscato, a former Postmates executive who made his name heading partnerships at the once wildly popular app HQ Trivia, has joined their company in the newly created role. Abruscato is charged with helping to triple ad revenue to $15 million in 2026.
“Abruscato becomes the 10th person hired at TBPN, not counting Coogan and Hays. The three-hour show features the hosts and their guests discussing the day’s business news for a target audience of affluent tech founders and investors, delivered in the urgent style of an ESPN pregame analysis. Silicon Valley executives have praised the show for its perceived warmth toward the tech industry at a time when tech’s relations with traditional media are frosty. Billionaire investor Marc Andreessen and Palantir Chief Executive Alex Karp have appeared as guests.
“TBPN, which has no outside investors and is profitable, expects to generate $5 million in ad revenue this year, according to the company.”
