Credit card reporter Seychelle Thomas was among the layoffs at personal finance news site Bankrate.com earlier this week.
Thomas had been at Bankrate.com for nearly two years.
“Saying goodbye to this chapter and the amazing people I’ve met along the way is tough and feels unreal,” she wrote on LinkedIn. “Hell, I had to remind myself not to log in this morning.”
During the last five years she has written about personal finance topics in publications including Kiplinger, Credible, GO Banking Rates, Nasdaq, Yahoo Finance and others.
Thomas previously worked in the banking industry.
