Crain’s New York Business editor in chief Cory Schouten sent out the following to the staff:
I’m delighted to share that Mario Marroquin will be joining the newsroom as a real estate reporter starting Monday, May 1. Mario has covered real estate at Markets Group and NJBiz, and in a freelance capacity for The Real Deal and the San Diego Business Journal, among other publications. Before that he was a New York state economy correspondent for USA Today. Marroquin holds a bachelor’s degree in digital journalism from Penn State University.
We’re excited to welcome him to the best real estate team in the city, joining senior reporters Eddie Small and C. J. Hughes and editor Telisha Bryan.
