Crain’s New York Business has hired Kathryn Brenzel as a senior politics reporter.
She will start April 20.
Brenzel has been at The Real Deal in New York for more than a decade. For the past seven years, she has been a senior reporter covering the intersection of politics and real estate, housing policy and construction. She also writes a daily newsletter called “The Daily Dirt.”
She previously worked at The Star-Ledger in New Jersey covering breaking news, crime, government, business and education in Hudson County.
Brenzel also worked at The Express-Times in Easton, Pennsylvania and at Law360.
She is a graduate of the College of New Jersey and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
