Anna Fifelski

Crain’s Detroit Business has hired Anna Fifelski to cover startups and technology companies in Southeast Michigan as well as banking and finance.

A story on its website states, “Fifelski joins Crain’s following an internship at The Detroit News, where she also received business journalism training through The Dow Jones News Fund. She also interned at Crain’s Detroit Business in 2022. Fifelski is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she served as senior news editor of The Michigan Daily, the student newspaper.

“She has covered a wide array of business topics, including startups and entrepreneurs, which will be important parts of her new beat.

“‘There is so much innovation and excitement happening with startups and other businesses in Southeast Michigan right now,’ Executive Editor Mickey Ciokajlo said. ‘Anna has the curiosity, local knowledge and passion for journalism to find those stories and bring them to our readers.
