Crain’s Detroit Business has hired David Eggert to cover politics and policy from Lansing.
Eggert has been with the Associated Press as a reporter in Lansing since December 2012. He previously was a state government and politics reporter for MLive.com.
Eggert also worked for the Columbus Dispatch in Ohio as a public affairs reporter and at the Lansing State Journal as an assistant news and information reporter.
He also worked at the AP in Lansing from May 2004 to November 2009.
Eggert holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Northwestern University.
