Crain’s Chicago hires Brumback as AME for audience and engagement

Aly Brumback

Aly Brumback has joined Crain’s Chicago Business as an assistant managing editor for audience and engagement.

She comes from Modern Healthcare, where she was an audience engagement specialist.

Before that, she was with the Chicago Tribune for over 9 years, where she has worked as a copy editor and page designer, digital news editor and producer and then as a senior content editor for audience and engagement.

She has also interned at and freelanced for Patch.com. She was also an intern at the Greensboro News & Record.

Brumback graduated from Ball State University, where she was editor-in-chief of The Ball State Daily News.
