Coleman retires from CBS News MoneyWatch

Glenn Coleman

Glenn Coleman, vice president of editorial at CBS News MoneyWatch, retired on Friday after nearly 40 years in journalism.

“I have been planning this day for several years, but was delayed by the pandemic,” he wrote in a message.

He previously was executive editor at CBS News MoneyWatch and editor of Crain’s New York Business.

Coleman was founding editor of InvestmentNews, which targets the financial advice industry, as well as of FinancialWeek, which folded in late 2008. He also spent seven years at Crain’s Chicago Business, where he rose from features editor to managing editor.

At Crain’s New York, Coleman had overseen coverage of the economy, Wall Street, banking, health care and small business as managing editor before becoming editor.

He also spent seven years at Time Inc. as an assistant managing editor of Money magazine and deputy editor of Popular Science.

Coleman is the co-author, with his former Crain’s Chicago colleague Judith Crown, of “No Hands: The Rise and Fall of the Schwinn Bicycle Company, an American Institution.”
