Hal Cohen has been named president and CEO of BridgeTower Media, which operates business newspapers across the country.
He replaces Adam Reinebach, who left last week after seven years running the company.
Cohen joined BridgeTower in 2016, and previously served as chief operating officer, with revenue responsibility for all media brands as well as Best Companies Group, and played a lead role in corporate strategy and product development.
Prior to BridgeTower, Cohen was vice president/group publisher for ALM’s legal media division, overseeing all of its regional brands. He’s also held various leadership roles at ALM, including group publisher for the New York and Pennsylvania Legal Groups, publisher of the Pennsylvania Group, director of business operations and senior financial analyst.
Cohen has also held senior finance roles at Scholastic and WeiserMazars.
BridgeTower’s publications include Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, NJBIZ, Arizona Capitol Times, The Daily Record (MD) and Furniture Today. It also owns Long Island Business News, New Orleans CityBusiness, the Daily Journal of Commerce in Oregon, and Finance & Commerce in Minnesota.
