CNN tech reporter Rishi Iyengar is leaving the news outlet to join Foreign Policy as a staff reporter.
He has been in the San Francisco bureau since 2019. He previously was the India editor for CNN Business in New Delhi.
Before joining CNN, he spent two years at Time magazine in Hong Kong, where he covered several stories around Asia including the rise of the Afghanistan cricket team and the war on drugs in the Philippines.
Iyengar grew up in Pune, India, and is a graduate of the Columbia Journalism School.
He will move to Foreign Policy’s Washington office by the end of the year and will cover the intersection of cybersecurity, technology and geopolitics.
