CNN Business has hired Luciana Lopez to be its managing editor.
She previously was at USA Today as deputy managing editor of politics and elections.
Lopez previously worked at MSNBC as a segment producer and at Reuters, where she was part of the 2016 campaign team. She was also a correspondent in Brazil.
Lopez also worked as a reporter for The Oregonian.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
