Mike Calia, senior editor for business and company news at CNBC, is leaving for a position at sister company NBC.
Calia oversees coverage of a variety of industries, including media, transportation, retail and restaurants. Previously, he ran the politics desk and worked as a breaking news editor for CNBC.com.
Calia worked at The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires, where he edited and wrote stories on an array of topics including corporate and markets news, sports, and arts and culture.
He started his journalism career working on the copy desks at The Press of Atlantic City and The Record of Bergen County, New Jersey.
