CNBC announced plans Tuesday to expand its presence in Abu Dhabi.
CNBC will launch a new feature program called “Managing Middle East“ focused on the people, sectors and trends shaping the region’s economic transformation.
CNBC will also plans to increase the volume of digital-first content produced from the region. It plans to further embed editorial and production teams in Abu Dhabi.
In partnership with the Abu Dhabi Media Office, CNBC will be establishing structured programs, including an ongoing rotational traineeship program, to build a sustainable pipeline of media professionals in the emirate.
“Reaffirming our Middle East headquarters in Abu Dhabi while expanding our editorial and production capabilities strengthens our ability to deliver timely, authoritative business and financial news from a region that is playing an increasingly influential role in the global economy, and creates the foundation to develop the talent that will sustain that coverage long term,” said Craig Bengtson, president of CNBC International, in a statement.
