CNBC reporter Kate Rooney‘s beat is changing as she moves away from covering fintech and cryptocurrency and focuses more on artificial intelligence and OpenAI.
She has been covering crypto and bitcoin since 2018.
Rooney previously was at “Squawk Box,” where she served as a segment producer. Prior to “Squawk Box,” she was a news associate, completing rotations with “Worldwide Exchange,” “Squawk on the Street” and “Squawk Alley.”
She graduated from Boston College in 2013 and received her master’s degree at Northwestern University.
