CNBC promotes Duffy to new role

Our audience is at the core of who we are and what we do, and their connection to our brand is what sets us apart. We’re relentlessly committed to delivering content, experiences and value that reflect their needs and deepen their trust in us each and every day. This year we have seen some impressive and important successes in bringing live audiences to events built around some of our marquee programs and producers – Fast Money Live and Pro Live. A key reason for these wins is Mary Duffy and we’re excited to share that the network is formalizing her role with a new title, Vice President & Senior Executive Producer of Strategic Initiatives and Talent Development. In this new position, Mary will incubate and execute various new brand extensions and offerings to drive the network forward.

We are gearing up for more events this fall, and Mary will spearhead efforts with the audience at the center of every decision to provide a premium experience that resonates deeply with our most loyal customers. She will also be managing CNBC Executive Strategies, a standalone business focused on delivering customized, exclusive communications experiences to business leaders. This is an offshoot of the successful CNBC Media Lab that she created and developed for our Council members. As we move forward, these efforts will serve to identify and cultivate new sources of revenue.

In addition, Mary will continue to develop our talent and oversee our CNBC Contributor network.

As anyone who has worked with her can attest, Mary’s enthusiasm, commitment to excellence in every detail and creativity raises the level of everything she touches. For over two decades, she has played a vital role in building some of our most successful franchises and helping to shape CNBC into the respected business news brand that it is today. Mary’s constant pursuit of perfection is an example for the entire organization, and we want to recognize the incredible work that she and the team have done to engage with our fans and support talent across our brands.
