CNBC announced Thursday that it is launching “Property Play,” a section of its website devoted to real estate investing.

The section is led by senior real estate and climate correspondent Diana Olick. Coverage will including residential and commercial trends, financing and mortgage developments, innovations, and the increasing impact of climate change on real estate assets and operations.

“As the equity markets become more volatile, there is an increasing amount of capital sitting on the sidelines, and real estate presents an exciting opportunity to deploy it,” said Olick in a statement.

The section will include a newsletter, starting next week, as well as a videocast series and in-person events starting later this year.

“Real estate has long been part of CNBC’s editorial DNA,” said Max Meyers, CNBC senior executive producer and vice president of strategic verticals, in a statement. “With ‘Property Play,’ CNBC is deepening that commitment to meet growing demand for more in-depth, high-value content.”

CNBC has recently added sections covering sports business and women’s leadership.
