CNBC has hired two new executives to oversee work tied to development of subscriptions and partnerships, reports Brian Steinberg of Variety.

Steinberg reports, “Ian Moore, who has logged stints at Verizon Media and New York Times Co., was named vice president of subscriptions, and will focus on subscriber acquisition, engagement and retention. He had most recently worked for Business Insider, where he most served as general manager of subscription growth and revenue operations.

Tom Mahar was named vice president of strategic partnerships and has been assigned to identify and build new opportunities spanning technology, financial services, media, content, data, distribution and emerging business models. Mahar spent more than a decade working across News Corp, including roles in the US, UK and Australia. Most recently, he worked as a consultant to News Corp leadership on AI developments and evolving commercial models.

“Both executives will report directly to Sally Shin, executive vice president of growth and partnerships and interim general manager of DTC for CNBC.”
