CNBC has hired Amitoj Singh as a reporter and anchor.
Based in Singapore, Singh will provide coverage of India’s business landscape across CNBC’s international programming, including anchoring “Inside India,” a one-hour weekday show spotlighting the nation’s rise as a global economic powerhouse.
“I am delighted to have Amitoj join the team,” said Justin Solomon, head of TV News for Asia Pacific, in a statement. “India remains central to our editorial focus, and Amitoj’s experience provide our global audiences with even deeper coverage to understand India’s impact both regionally and internationally.”
Singh has reported for NDTV, CNN, Channel News Asia, Al Jazeera and Business Insider, covering everything from political upheavals to tech innovation. He led crypto coverage at CoinDesk and anchored its flagship show and was also selected as one of the four UN journalism fellows.
He graduated from the University of Delhi with a Bachelor’s Degree in English, and obtained a Master’s from the Graduate School of Journalism in Columbia University.
