Megan Morrone will join CNBC on Sept. 28 as technology rditor, based in the San Francisco bureau and reporting to Christina Passariello.
Most recently, Morrone served as technology rditor at Axios, where she managed the technology team, led coverage of artificial intelligence and edited the company’s daily AI newsletter.
Previously, she spent nearly a decade hosting cable television shows and podcasts, including at TechTV and This Week in Tech. She has also served as a contributing reporter at Fast Company and as an editor and reporter at Morning Brew and BBC Worklife, and held senior editor roles at Protocol and Medium, where she worked on the technology publications OneZero and Debugger.
Morrone’s perspective has also been informed by her time working inside the technology industry at Microsoft in the early 2000s, where she helped make complex topics including cybersecurity, family safety, sustainability and productivity useful and accessible to broad audiences.
