CNBC has hired Ben Boulos as a television anchor in London.

Boulos will join the “Squawk Box Europe” lineup alongside Karen Tso and Steve Sedgwick in early February, as Julianna Tatelbaum begins maternity leave.

“I am delighted that Ben is joining the CNBC International team,” said Leonie Kidd, head of TV News for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “His specialist knowledge of global business and economics, combined with years of experience presenting to audiences across the UK and worldwide, will be an incredible asset. Ben’s ability to make complex financial stories clear and engaging is exactly what we need as we continue to grow our coverage and connect with new audiences.”

Boulos has nearly 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, having worked as the specialist business presenter on “BBC Breakfast.” He is also a familiar face on BBC World News, anchoring flagship programs including “Business Live,” “Talking Business,” “World Business Report,” “Newsday,” “Outside Source,” and “World News Today.”

He graduated from Cambridge University with an MA (Cantab) degree in Law in 2005.
