CNBC deputy politics editor Block departs

Valerie Block

Valerie Block, deputy politics editor at CNBC has left to work as a freelance editor. Previously, she was a senior content editor managing the Op-Ed section for the financial news website.

Prior to joining CNBC, Block was at Crain’s New York, where she has worked as a reporter, lifestyles editor and deputy managing editor. She has also covered technology and credit cards for American Banker.

Block graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
