CNBC.com hires Keane as senior politics editor

Angela Greiling Keane is joining CNBC as senior politics editor for CNBC.com.

Based in Washington, D.C., Keame will oversee CNBC’s politics team in D.C. and New Jersey, working closely with Washington deputy bureau chief MC Wellons and CNBC.com managing editor Jeff McCracken to help shape political coverage across television and digital, ensuring a unified and strategic editorial approach.

Keane has more than 25 years of experience in national news as a reporter and editor, most recently as news director for Bloomberg Government. There, she led reporters and analysts covering congressional policy and politics, state capitals and the White House.

Previously, she was a managing editor at Politico and reported for outlets including Bloomberg News, where she covered the White House and transportation beats.

She’s been president of the National Press Club and the nonprofit National Press Club Journalism Institute, and is a past president of the Journalism & Women Symposium.
