CNBC.com climate innovation and technology reporter Cat Clifford was among those laid off earlier this month.
“The work I did while covering climate for the last 2.5 years is absolutely the best work I have ever done in my career as a journalist and I am deeply proud of it,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
Clifford previously spent five years as one of the first writers hired to launch the Make It channel of CNBC.com.
She also worked at Entrepreneur and CNNMoney.com. Clifford holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and art history from Columbia University.
