Reuters correspondent Mei Fong Chu has moved to Beijing to cover China agriculture.
She previously has been in Kuala Lumpur, covering Malaysia’s biggest export commodities, namely palm oil and oil and gas. She reported on markets and trends, followed the movements of major companies, and investigated the industry’s environmental, labor and human rights impact.
Chu was previously with Malaysia’s leading English daily The Star, where she covered some of Malaysia’s biggest local and international news events from the watershed 2018 polls to the plastic waste crisis.
She holds a bachelors degree from the University of South Australia.
