John Conlon, chief subeditor at the Financial Times, is retiring Friday after more than 20 years with the publication.
He specialized in foreign and British news.
Conlon previously was at The Times of London as an online production team leader and at the Press Association as an online editor. He also worked at the Cambridge News as a news editor and as a reporter.
At the Stockport Express Advertiser, he was named UK young journalist of the year in 1983.
