The Chattanooga Times Free Press has hired Ben Sessoms to cover growth and development, as well as transportation and the environment.
He has been a government accountability reporter for CityView Magazine in Fayetteville, North Carolina and previously worked at Carolina Public Press covering local government in eastern North Carolina.
Sessoms also covered housing for The (Raleigh) News & Observer and education for the Statesville Record & Landmark.
He is a graduate of Appalachian State University.
