The (Charleston) Post and Courier has hired Megan Fernandes as a business and tourism reporter.
She has been a reporter for Foster’s Daily Democrat and SeacoastOnline in New Hampshire covering general community and business news in addition to specialized topics like education.
Before that, she was the retail, money, tech and transportation reporter at Pacific Business News in Honolulu.
Fernandes also worked at The Herald News in Joliet, Illinois. She is a graduate of Roosevelt University, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper.
