CBS News/Stations hires Nguyen as senior producer of consumer and business

Jamie Nguyen, the senior consumer investigative producer at NBC News, is joining CBS News and Stations as the new senior producer leading Consumer/Business/MoneyWatch.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to help build a consumer and business team,” she wrote on LinkedIn. “Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey and supported me.”

Nguyen had been at NBC News since February 2018. She previously was ABC 7 New York as a news producer and a senior producer and also at worked at ABC News “Primetime” as a film producer.

Nguyen is a graduate of UC-San Diego.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
