CBS News hires WSJ’s Raice as foreign editor

CBS News has hired Shayndi Raice of The Wall Street Journal to be its foreign editor, reports Lachlan Cartwright of Breaker.

She has been deputy bureau chief for the Middle East and North Africa for the Journal and before that was Midwest bureau chief in Chicago.

Raice joined the Journal as a telecom reporter in 2010 after an internship at Dow Jones Newswires. She went on to cover tech companies including Facebook in San Francisco, Bank of America and Wells Fargo out of New York and European M&A out of London.

In 2016, she moved to Chicago as a U.S. news reporter covering the Midwest economy and took over as Midwest bureau chief in 2020. She has also been interim law bureau chief.

She is a graduate of Yeshiva University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
