Michael Calderone, the senior editor of Vanity Fair’s The Hive, is leaving the publication after five years.
The magazine’s editorial director announced in an internal message earlier this week that The Hive would be folded into other sections. The Hive covers power across politics, media, technology and business.
He previously reported for more than a decade on political media and the news industry for Politico, HuffPost and the New York Observer, and he has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, NY1, PBS and NPR. Calderone has also received the National Press Club’s Rowse Press Criticism Award for his reporting.
Calderone holds a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from New York University.
