Bloomberg News reporter Rachel Butt has been hired as deputy distressed editor at 9fin, where she will cover news on troubled companies, help guide reporters and edit stories.
She starts her job next week in New York.
Butt was previously a reporter with Bloomberg, covering debt restructurings and bankruptcies. Prior to Bloomberg, which she joined in July 2021, she was an associate editor at Debtwire.
She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, specializing in business journalism. She also earned a master’s degree in business and economic reporting at New York University.
